Swimming was Missed in Oklahoma

I grew up in a swimming pool and miss the water, working in an urban area with few opportunities to swim. Over the Fourth of July weekend [this sentence I believe was originally written in 2008], I got to plunge into sweet spring and lake waters twice and greatly enjoyed myself..

Now, since March 2010 I have been residing no more than several blocks to several miles from any shore of a central Pacific island, Oahu.  The water is always a comfortable temperature, and there are a variety of conditions for swimming to choose from.  Lap swimming at Kaimana or Sans Souci beach with its sandy bottom and sheltered calm (although there is often a little current going toward Diamond Head), Hanauma Bay for incredible snorkeling when conditions are good (bright sunlight, high tide, early morning, when the amazing variety of colorful fish show up, and if you like surfing... many places to choose from or observing surfers on the North Shore at places like Sunset Beach and the Banzai Pipeline....  Amazing luck to be brought here for work
